Quote
"The best remedy for those who are afraid, lonely or unhappy is to go outside, somewhere where they can be quite alone with the heavens, nature and God. Because only then does one feel that all is as it should be and that God wishes to see people happy, amidst the simple beauty of nature. As longs as this exists, and it certainly always will, I know that then there will always be comfort for every sorrow, whatever the circumstances may be. And I firmly believe that nature brings solace in all troubles."

Cai Guo-Qiang - Head On (2006)

“Inspired by German history… Hitler called himself ‘Heir Wolf’ and referred to his SS men as his ‘pack of wolves’. Head On visually expresses the universal human tendency to follow and press forward in complete blindness.”

Tumblr Artist

Travis K. Schwab aka OrangeGrass | on Tumblr

Travis K. Schwab, also known as OrangeGrass, is an american self-taught artist from Pittsburgh, PA. “I have been drawing for as long as I can remember, but only started working with oil paint about four years ago.” He was reluctant to try and work in such a historic medium, feeling intimidated to approach something he could never master. But he has learned significantly from the greats artists like Caravaggio, Rembrandt, Ingres, Picasso and to more contemporary artists such as Freud, Fischl, Tuymans, and Doig. Please visit his website or follow his Tumblr for more work.
